#170 - Top 3 Myths About Melatonin
From: Schettig et al. (2020) Journal of Cancer Therapy .. Yes, not Circadian Therapy … the other C-word.
Academic institutions are prisons.
They strangely lock you into work you didn’t train for (aka, Administration) - whilst pushing your qualified work into your personal time (aka, Research).
Well, at least that was my experience.
Luckily, I escaped that prison.
And I began reading wide.
With my sleep and circadian expertise, I thought I knew a lot about melatonin.
But when I began reading WIDE - I found a world where melatonin was more than a sleep and circadian molecule.
And when I began reading DEEP - I found that there’s no bottom.
There’s still so much to learn.
But what I have learned is a widening gap between the scientific data and the Internet.
Take for example, this D.H. who was recently interviewed about melatonin in pediatrics on The Diary of a CEO …
Several years ago, this wanker was spraying left-right-and-centre about the dreaded blue light from screens.
But after commenting on his posts,
And linking him to our study on negligible effects of blue screenlight,
And messaging him privately …
… the bloody galah had a higher goal.
To become a Sell Out.
More accurately, to sell these B.S. pieces of plastic to kids …
So to you,
Fellow reader,
I present to you,
A consolidation of dozens upon dozens of hours of reading,
Mixed with a splash of analytics,
To demonstrate,
Why the magical molecule called ‘Melatonin’ is becoming the New Sleep Myth.
Whilst many are kicking melatonin in the guts when it’s down,
What you will learn is that not only is melatonin safe,
But it is also life saving …
